Banca March (Spain) signs deal with Thomson Reuters  eXimius

Mechelen, June 30th 2009 Banca March is a family-owned financial institution founded in 1926, in Palma de Mallorca,Spain.  It is considered a reference bank, with 63 branches spread over the Ballearic and Canary Islands and another 250 branches on the Spanish mainland. The future development of the bank is focused on Private Banking and Wealth Management. Therefore, they have adopted a strategy that further develops their high net worth and discretionary banking platform. To implement this strategy, they have chosen Thomson Reuters eXimius.

Banca March opted for eXimius because of its breadth and depth better matched their requirements. Furthermore Banca March will partner with eXimius to deliver the full scope of functionalities in the Spanish language as part of the mutual agreement. This will create great opportunities to extend the eXimius’ footprint in Spain and other Spanish speaking territories.

eXimius will be interfaced to the bank's propriety back office system in Mallorca and will route equity and fund orders to their outsourced partner.  During implementation, the Thomson Reuters team will work closely with the local Professional Services Group. The PSG team will operate as the local link with Banca March, with the ability to communicate in a culturally compliant way and in their native language.
